The Naturi Paper Mache Vase is handcrafted from eco-friendly papier mache and has a chalky, limewash like texture. Its primitive and curvaceous form is complemented with decorative handles and stands out when layered with other decor accents objects of differing shapes and finishes. 8.5 x 8 x 7 in Made from recycled newspaper, they are entirely natural and sustainable. First the newspaper is mixed with water, then chalk and tree sap crystals are added to turn the substance into a clay-like material. The pulp is kneaded into chapati-like forms, then rolled and moulded into the sculptural objects we love. There is no firing, no power used, and the process is entirely eco-friendly. Each piece will have subtle differences in finish and these variations are part of the handmade appeal. Porous in nature, papier mache should not be exposed to liquids.
